Free Invoice Generator — Create Professional Invoices Instantly
Whether you're a freelancer in London, a consultant in New York, or a small business owner in Berlin, invoicing is something you do regularly — but it shouldn't take up your time. Our free invoice generator lets you build a fully professional, branded invoice in under two minutes, download it as a PDF, and send it straight to your client. No account. No watermark. No charge.
Simply fill in your business name, your client's details, add your line items (services, products, or time billed), set your currency — USD, GBP, EUR or 5 others — apply VAT, GST or any custom tax rate, add a discount if needed, and click Download. The resulting PDF matches what established accountancy software produces, without the monthly subscription fee.
Who Uses This Tool?
Freelancers and independent contractors make up the largest group of users — designers, developers, writers, photographers, and consultants who need to send clean invoices to clients without paying for full accounting software. Small business owners who handle their own billing also rely on it heavily, particularly for one-off jobs where setting up a new project in a paid platform isn't worth the overhead. We also see widespread use from tradespeople, tutors, coaches, virtual assistants, and anyone who invoices occasionally but needs the result to look completely professional.
UK / European Compliance Notes
If you're billing in the UK or EU, a compliant invoice should include your business name and address, your VAT number (if VAT registered), your client's name and address, a unique invoice number, the invoice date, a description of goods/services, the net amount, the VAT rate and amount separately, and the total due. This tool includes fields for all of these — just make sure you fill in your VAT/Tax ID and use the tax rate field for your applicable VAT rate (20% UK standard rate, 19% Germany, 21% Netherlands, etc.).
